Joe Gill has served on the Chamber's Board as Treasurer and currently serves as a Director.
In 1961 Joe formed his own company, Gill Plastics, Inc. specializing in vinyl fabrication. Over the years the business has grown with the addition of hot stamping, screen printing and pad printing services. Joe semi-retired a few years back and his son Tom continues the business.
Throughout his career Joe was very active in the Brentwood Community - Even more so now. He served on Brentwood's Planning and Zoning Committee; Brentwood's Charter Commission and has held several offices in the Brentwood Rotary Club, including President.
Joe is the current President of the Brentwood Historical Society where he works closely with his wife of 48 years, Barbara, who was instrumental in founding the Society.
Because of all Joe's Community work in Brentwood over the years and to this day, he was Awarded Citizen of the Year by the Chamber in 2002.
Joe is also an avid photographer and the majority of the photos you see in our newsletter and on the website are his work. He is also a member of the St. Louis Artist's Guild.
Joe and Barbara moved to Brentwood in 1962. They raised three children here; sons Tom and Michael and daughter Suzanne. All their children were educated in the Brentwood Public School System where both Joe and Barbara volunteer to this day.
Joe also has a BS in engineering and a MBA in business. He served in the Korean War as a Lt. in the Navy.
