Sallie has been a member of the Brentwood Post for 14 years.  She joined the United States Marine Corps right out of High School in 1964.  She was stationed at Parris Island, SC where she met her husband Carl.

Sallie has devoted her life to public service and volunteering in addition to her service in the Corps.  She is a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where she participates in the "Shut In" mailings.  She is a 19 year member of the Optimist Club West-St. Louis.  She served as the Governor of the East Missouri District of Optimist International for 2001/2002.  She is also a long time Brentwood Chamber member and serves on the National Night Out Against Crime Committee with the Brentwood Police Dept.

Sallie and Carl reside in Brentwood and have been married for 40 years.  Their son, Allen, graduated from Brentwood High School in 1986.  He now resides in the Denver, CO area.
